#ARMIES OF EXIGO GOG SERIES#
Gothic I - It comes as little surprise that a video game series named after dark and gloomy architectural style (I'm not sure if thats actually the case, but it does make hell of a sense) would be.
Since Assassins get their name from Hashishin, which, in turn, are named because of usage of Hashish for meditation, soundtrack does spectacular job at creating an uneasy sense of being in a dark and gloomy dream. The soundtrack deserves extra praise for having many 'hallucinative' features in it, which is perfectly shown in the track I added here.
Playing it for the first time already made me fall in love with its atmosphere. I did talk about atmosphere more in my video, so you might wanna check it out.Īssassin's Creed I - My favorite part in the series in terms of everything except gameplay. Armies of Exigo is also severely underrated and fallen into obscurity (it may be even less popular considering its not even on steam or gog, unlike Lionheart). The darkest, creepiest and often scariest RPG there is, Lionheart is a game I will never forget and always love, even if it was released partly unfinished.Īrmies of Exigo - I did a video review on it, which you can check out here. I can go for long chapters explaining how many things this game achieves spectacularly. There's a high chance you are hearing about it now for the first time. Lionheart: Legacy of Crusader - Ask me? I'd say this is the most underrated game in entire Industry. List will have clickable links to my favorite tracks of each title. Providing a list of few of my beloved games emotionally (not ranked by gameplay), either due to fantastic compositions, atmosphere or both. Same goes for overall visual immersion or, how people often call it - 'game atmosphere'. Even though I enjoy a great number of game soundtracks, I always had an emotional kink for more gloomy and darker kind of music.
